After setting up daily, weekly, and monthly backups from your WHM panel, backups are taken periodically to the specified directory. However, even if an account is cancelled and deleted, the backup files are not removed. This leads to unnecessary disk usage. If you have many accounts on your server, checking and deleting them one by one is tedious. You can use the Clean Backups software to do this easily. It also has a WHM plugin, so you can easily manage its settings and controls through the interface.
To install, log in as root via SSH and run the following commands:
cd /usr/src
wget http://download.ndchost.com/cleanbackups/latest-cleanbackups
sh latest-cleanbackupsAfter installation, you can see the Clean Backups section in the plugins section of your WHM panel. By changing the default settings, you can have unnecessary backups automatically deleted periodically.
