This is the section where we configure detailed mail settings of our server. The most commonly used features will be detailed.
Domains and IPs
If you want each site on your server to send mail over the IP address it runs on, you can do this with the “Reference /etc/mailips for outgoing SMTP connections” setting in Exim Configuration Manager. Setting this to “On” means every site on the server sends mail over whichever IP address it is running on. This is a useful method if sites on the server are distributed to different IP addresses at certain rates. If you want all sites on the server to send mail only with the IP address you specify, set this to “Off”.
Note: In some cases, settings are not automatically entered in /etc/mailips and we need to perform manual operations.
